Premier Vet Care Animal Clinic

I have been taking my dog here for vaccinations for several years but they lost my business today. I was a vet tech for 11 years and we never turned injured animals away that needed immediate attention. My dog split a toe nail so bad that he was non weight bearing in a lot of pain and bleeding. I advised the front desk girl of the issue and she told me she didn’t have anything till Wednesday. I said not even for an injury? She said no we can’t see him till Wednesday but there are other vet clinics down the road. The lobby was empty it was 3:30 and she didn’t even bother to get up to ask the vet if they could fit him. The clinic I worked for would have never done that. The Rowlett Animal Clinic had a lobby full of people and they still made time to sedate my dog and fix his injuries. Atlas and I will not be back to a clinic that does not care if your animal is in pain or not. Thank you to the Rowlett Animal Clinic for their compassion they obtained my business from now on.

We transferred our rescues, two dogs and three cats, after being a loyal customers since 2018. We happily spend thousands on our pets and regularly donate to charity in order to support animal welfare locally and nationally. Unfortunately, this business has changed from when we started due to the management. The vets are not at all a problem, working with us in all situations from new rescues to senior dog care. The staff and management unfortunately caused us to find a new vet practice.

My dog got sick and was looking for a new vet, thankfully I choose Premier Vet Care Clinic because I am very pleased with everything! My dog had IV fluids put and was also given medication to take at home, everyone there was so patient and nice with also giving clear instructions as how to give my dog his medication. My dog was kept there for 24hrs with the Vet and the next next when they called me to pick him up , my dog looked so much better and healthier! It also seemed like my dog was also pleased with the staff there and had trust in them because he didn’t want to leave and was waging his tail a lot which is really important. My dog has finished his medication at home and he has been back to his own self since the first day I picked him up at the vet. Thank you for your awesome service and will highly recommend this clinic for any pets!

I have nothing but positive things to say about my experience with Premier Vet Care. The staff was incredibly helpful and knowledgeable, and they made my dog, Nilla, feel right at ease. Dr. Stephanie provides excellent care and is patient, attentive, and answers any questions you have. We recently had to see them for an unexpected visit during a seizure episode my dog was having. They immediately got me into another Doctor on staff and I was also very impressed with Dr. Christina. From the vet techs to the front desk employees to the doctors, your pet will be in good hands. One of the best vets of all time. He helped us out when our dog was sick with cancer and went above and beyond to inform us every step of the way. The day after we had to put our dog down he personally called me and told me how sorry he was for our loss. He is a very caring vet and he is honest. The office is very clean and the staff is always friendly.

This vet office does NOT care about the well being of your animals and will not respond to voicemails, appointment requests, or the “contact us” forms. This has happened on 3 separate occasions, for three separate animals IN A ROW. I urge you to take your beloved family members to ANY other vet office in the area as this place would likely let your animal die and then blame it on someone else. No matter who you talk to, it is always “well the other receptionist…”, “well the other tech…”, “well the other vet…” no sense of accountability or compassion what so ever. I repeat, GO ANYWHERE ELSE! Your pet is NOT important this vet office!

We began bringing our pets to Premier when Dr Cope first opened the clinic. Before the clinic opened, Dr Cope did house calls for Rowlett residents. House calls were still provided for special circumstances even after he opened his clinic. We took our German shepherd mix to this clinic for 14 years, and when it finally came time for her time on this earth to end, she could not stand or walk. We called Premier and asked if someone could please come to the house to help our dog cross over. We were told that we would have to bring her into the clinic, and that we would have to get her all of her shots First. She was seen in the clinic prior to this date and we were told by the vet at that time that she did not recommend giving her all of her shots because she was clearly at the end of her life and it would be too taxing on her system. Even after we explained this to them on the phone when we were asking for help, they still said that we would have to bring her in and we would be forced to give her all of her shots even though we explained over and over again that she was on her deathbed. She needed help crossing over. The receptionist told us, then call another vet. After 14 years of bringing her to the clinic, they were not there for us or more importantly for her in her final hours when she needed their help the most. Yet their website still says that they offer in-home care and do house calls. And that they provide compassionate care for elderly dogs. I have waited to post this review to see if they would take that down on their website because I have called them more than once, and expressed how hurtful this was and still is to our family. As of today, 4 months later it is still on their website that they offer house calls and in-home care for special circumstances. Shame on you, Premier!!! If I could give you no stars I would. You don’t even deserve the 1.
